1. The Rules
This contest is meant to illustrators.
The goal is to draw a Mandrill head. This great baboon from Cameroon looks evil when setting his eyes on you right before flashing a deadly set of teeth out of it's wide open mouth. But it's beautiful, and really majestical. Your design has to capture this very majesty.
You can draw a front view, a 3/4 view or a side view, mouth wide open or not. This is your call.
Use 4 colors (see section 4.The colors) on a black background, thoses colors have to be plain, no gradients, but you can use halftones to create many shades of the 4 colors.
You only have 4 colors to express yourself, so manage to draw this primate in a simplified, symbolic, surrealistic, exagerated manner.
Draw this mandrill the most aesthetically as possible. We are not looking for any joke t-shirt, any scribble, child drawings, or any dynamic vectorized picture.
We are looking for a clean, minimal, original, reaching across illustration.

2. The Prize
€ 400 for the winner.
Limited Edition of 200 pieces, edition contract counts €2/printed t-shirt. Prints are Battle Tees sole decision. BT reserves the right not to select any finalists in the event of any submitted design would not reach the mandatory level in this competition

3. The Dateline
- ARTWORK SUBMISSION : from Thursday October the 14th, to Friday November the 5th, 2010, 6PM CET.

4. The Colors
- T-shirt color: Black
- Print Colors : Blue, Red, White, and Gold.

5. The File
Create your artwork on Illustrator or Photoshop (or any similar software that isn't from Adobe, lol). We won't accept paper originals sent to our office, it has to be di-gi-tal !
To submit your artwork, convert it to a JPG, 640px wide. Send it here, and name it that way: User name - Artwork Title.jpg
We will ask you for the original AI file, or PSD file, if you are selected in the finale battle.
